How do I obtain MOC points?

In order to claim MOC, your date of birth and ABIM ID must be populated: see "How Do I Update/Add the ABIM ID and DOB to My Profile?" for more information.

The option to submit MOC points will only appear for physicians AFTER CME credit is claimed. Follow on screen prompts to claim MOC.
  • Select ABIM MOC Points
  • Select Submit credit to PARS
To obtain MOC points, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Be certified by ABIM in internal medicine and/or nephrology and enrolled in the ABIM–MOC program
  • Enroll for MOC via the ABIM website (www.abim.org)
  • Ensure the MOC points submitted match your CME credits claimed

Please note it can take up to 48 hours for your MOC Points to appear in your ABIM profile. ABIM will notify you when MOC points have been added to your record.

Not all courses offer MOC points. Please refer to the course overview page to see complete CE/MOC information.
